Tastings for groups or departments in a setting of their choice are an extremely popular activity for many companies or their Sports and Social Clubs. Many organisers use these as bonding sessions internally or with their clients.
They take different forms but the various quiz options are top choice as these make for a relaxed but fun evening with the added dimension of a little light competition, normally in team form.
They have the advantage of being a value-added occasion. Your clients or staff will have a fine time and everyone will get to know each another better. Additionally they will leave knowing more about wine than they did before, including tips on how to buy for value and background information on wine regions and topics.
For a less active occasion, or for a wine oriented group, I tutor tastings on a wide variety of themes, including the national: for example South Africa, Chile, Australia, Germany, France or Portugal, all countries where I have been to study the wines.
Any of these tastings can include the 'How to Taste' mini tutorial which many people new to the idea of winetasting find very useful and which is a good icebreaker.
Prices start at £15 plus VAT per head for a basic tasting event. This assumes a minimum of 40 delegates and includes up to 8 wines, all the tasting and quiz sheets necessary, but will be tailored to suit your individual needs. Tasting glasses can be provided, please ask for details.
